These devices feature a built-in input monitor that promptly shuts down the slave power supply in the event of a main power supply fault. With an accuracy of up to 1 per cent and immunity to interference at a low monitoring threshold of 0.5 V, they prevent false power disconnections.

Product Features
The LTC2921 and LTC2922 can monitor up to five power supplies and force them to track power-up in multi-supply systems. An external N-channel adjustment component allows the supply voltage to ramp up at an adjustable rate.
Both the LTC2921 and LTC2922 feature an adjustable electronic circuit breaker to protect the VCC supply from damage caused by short-circuit faults. A capacitor on the TIMER pin is used to set the delay in the monitoring sequence.
The LTC2921 features three remote-sampling switches in a 16-pin narrow SSOP package, whilst the LTC2922 features five remote-sampling switches in a 20-pin TSSOP package. Both devices support VCC supply voltages of 5V, 3.3V and 2.5V.
