NCA9306 Description
The NCA9306 is a dual-channel, bidirectional I²C and SMBus voltage level converter with an enable (EN) input, capable of bidirectional voltage conversion between 1.2 V and 5 V without the need for direction pins. This switch features low on-resistance (RON), enabling connection establishment with minimal propagation delay. When EN is high, the converter switch is turned on, and the SCL1 and SDA1 I/Os are connected to the SCL2 and SDA2 I/Os, respectively, enabling bidirectional data flow between the ports. When EN is low, the converter switch is off, and a high-impedance state exists between the ports. In addition to voltage conversion, the NCA9306 device can be used to isolate a 400-kHz bus from a 100-kHz bus by controlling the EN pin to disconnect the slower bus during fast-mode communication.
